U.S. FCC certification

FCC Certification Introduction.

FCC is (Federal Communications Commission, the United States Federal Communications Commission www.fcc.gov) abbreviation, FCC certification is a mandatory certification of electronic products into the U.S. market. Involves more than 50 U.S. states, Colombia and U.S. territories.

FCC certification is the U.S. EMC mandatory certification, mainly for 9KHz-3000GHz electronic and electrical FCC certification products, the content involves radio, communications and other aspects, especially radio interference issues of wireless communications equipment and systems, including radio interference limits and measurement methods, as well as the certification system and organizational management system. Products subject to FCC control, such as: personal computers, CD players, copiers, radios, fax machines, video game consoles, electronic toys, televisions and microwave ovens and other products. These products are divided into CLASS A, CLASS B two categories, CLASS A for business or industrial use products, CLASS B for home use products, FCC regulations for Class B products more stringent requirements, lower limits and Class A, for most of the electrical and electronic products, the main standard is FCC Part 15 and FCC Part 18.

FCC certification in the form of.

FCC has three certification modes for different products, respectively: Verification Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Certification. different certification modes, all require testing laboratories to obtain FCC accreditation, and have different application, testing and affirmation requirements.

1, Verification: that is, self-verification, the manufacturer or importer to ensure that its products to conduct the necessary testing to confirm that the product complies with the relevant technical standards and retain the test report, the test laboratory FCC LISTEE, all accredited sites are published on the official Web. the FCC has the right to require manufacturers to submit samples of equipment or product testing data. Applicable to self-verification of equipment including commercial computers, TV and FM receivers and FCC Rule Part 18 of the non-mass consumer use of industrial, scientific and medical equipment.

2, Declaration of Conformity (DoC): that is, the Declaration of Conformity, the party responsible for the equipment (generally the manufacturer or importer) in the FCC designated by the qualified testing agency to test the product to ensure that the equipment meets the relevant technical standards and retain the test report, the issuing agency must have NVLAP / A2LA authorization. The FCC reserves the right to require the responsible party to submit samples of the equipment or test data of the product. Applicable to the declaration of conformity of equipment including home computers and peripherals, civilian broadcast receivers, ultra-regenerative receivers, other receivers of FCC Rule Part 15, television interface equipment, cable system terminal preparation and Part 18 of the mass consumer use of industrial, scientific and medical equipment.

3, Certification: that is, ID certification, Certification is the FCC based on the application and test data and sign the equipment approval process. the FCC submitted samples (or photos) and test data to review the applicant, if the requirements of the FCC rules will give the equipment authorized an FCC ID number. Applicable equipment for certification include low power transmitters such as cordless phones, remote controls for automatic doors, radio-controlled toys and security alarm systems, Part 15 equipment that intentionally emits radio frequency energy, Part 18 industrial, scientific and medical equipment for mass consumer use, automatic inverter receivers and super regenerative receivers, television interface equipment, and home computers and their peripherals. The responsible party shall cause the equipment to be marked with the FCC ID.

FCC's main standards

The following, of which FCC PART 15 and PART 18 are the most widely used.

FCC standards Applicable scope

FCC PART 15 C/E/F Intentional Radiation Device Testing

FCC PART 18 Industrial, Scientific, and Medical Equipment

FCC PART 22 Public Mobile Communications Services

FCC PART 24 Personal Communications Services

FCC PART 25 Satellite Communication Services

FCC PART 27 Other FCC Wireless Communications Services

FCC PART 68 Telecommunications Terminal Equipment

FCC Part 15 regulates transmitting equipment that is intentional, unintentional, or transient and does not require a personal license for use. It includes technical specifications, administrative requirements, and other market access conditions. There are four main categories of products: unintentional transmitting equipment, intentional transmitting equipment, unlicensed personal communications equipment, and unlicensed national basic information equipment.

FCC Part 18 for industrial, scientific, and medical equipment (ISM) working in a certain spectrum of electromagnetic energy emitted by the regulations to avoid harmful interference from the above-mentioned equipment on the authorized wireless communication services.

The specific steps of FCC certification application entrusted by customers.

1、Customer submits application form (our company provides blank application form).

2、The customer signs a contract with our company for commissioning testing.

3、 Send samples for testing and prepare electrical schematic diagram, external/internal photos, oscillator circuit block diagram, user manual nameplate identification, working principle description, etc. (varies according to the product).

4、 After passing the test, if it is FCC VOC certification, our company will directly issue a certificate of conformity and report, if it is FCC DOC or ID certification, our company will submit the application information to the FCC authorized issuing agency.

5. enterprises can use the FCC logo on their products after obtaining the FCC certification.

Note: FCC ID certification requires the submission of information list and requirements are as follows.

(1) FCC application form: the application company name, address, contact information, product name and model, the use of standards and other information required to be accurate.

 (2) FCC authorization letter: to be signed and sealed by the contact person of the applicant company and scanned into an electronic file.

(3) FCC confidentiality letter: confidentiality letter is the agreement signed between the applicant company and the TCB agency to keep the product information confidential, to be signed and sealed by the contact person of the applicant company and scanned into an electronic file.

4) Block diagram: all crystals need to be drawn, as well as the crystal frequency, and consistent with the circuit diagram.

5) Circuit diagram: must be consistent with the crystal frequency, the number of crystals and the location of the crystal inside the block diagram.

(6) circuit description: required to be in English, the product's function to achieve a clear description of the principle.

(7) instruction manual: required to have the FCC warning language.

8) label and label location: the label should have FCC ID number and Statement, the location of the label requires significant.

(9) photos of the product's internal appearance: require clear and concise pictures, with additional remarks if necessary.

(10) test reports: the requirement that the test is completed and the product is evaluated in all aspects according to the terms of the standard.
